Norman Racing began with a simple dream: to line up at the San Felipe 250 in the SCORE International series.

To make it happen, Eric Holt started reaching out to everyone he knew, asking for support. Most messages fell silent. But one came back—Mike Meza, owner of Norman Construction. His reply was simple: “Let’s do it. But tell me what you really need.”

Mike wasn’t interested in putting together a ragtag team. Together, he and Eric partnered for $20,000 and two bikes. That’s how Norman Racing was born.

What started small grew fast. Over the years, more than $1,000,000, 18+ Husqvarna bikes, thousands of hours, countless parts, blood, sweat, and tears have been poured into building the professional desert racing program we run today. Now, Norman Racing supports seven athletes, all dedicated to pushing limits in the harshest desert conditions on earth.

But numbers don’t tell the full story.

The term 'Star Blud' came from the danger, exhaustion, and raw risk we face every time we ride. It speaks to the truth of what it takes to live this life: our riders aren’t built like most people. They move differently. Think differently. They’re willing to risk everything—life, body, and time—for a dream that almost no one else would dare to chase.

That’s what makes Norman Racing different. We’re not here for comfort. We’re not here to play it safe. We’re here because this team is an outlet, a family, and a legacy that allows each of our athletes to live the life they were born for.

Yes, it takes sacrifice to keep racing, to keep building, to keep winning. But we wouldn’t have it any other way.
