Win one race—the San Felipe 250.

I believed that with a little support, we could make it happen and maybe even take the Pro Unlimited class at the prestigious SCORE Baja San Felipe 250. After countless unanswered calls to potential sponsors, I finally got a message back from Mike Meza: “Let’s do it.”

That one partnership launched Norman Racing. With a small crew of riders, we set out for our first race together. Against serious challenges, we pushed through and earned a spot on the podium—3rd overall.

​But Baja has a way of pulling you back. What began as one race quickly grew into a three-year commitment. We signed on to compete in the full SCORE International Off-Road Series:
Round 1: San Felipe 250
Round 2: Baja 500
Round 3: Baja 400
​Round 4: Baja 1000

Over the past three years, we’ve poured everything into building a top-tier pro team capable of winning the Baja 1000. Along the way, we’ve overcome countless obstacles, dialed in bike setups and suspension, navigated sponsorships and logistics, managed riders, and developed race plans. And yes—we’ve also discovered the best taco stands in Baja (that’s for another post).

We haven’t won yet, and as we approach the end of our three-year contract, the near-misses almost drive us crazy. But we’ve come so close, so many times, that it only fuels our determination. One race remains: the 2025 Baja 1000. In November, we’ll give it everything we’ve got to chase that first win.

Whether we win or lose, the journey has already given us more than we ever imagined—new friends, family, unforgettable memories, and stories for a lifetime. Truth is, we’re not done. It feels like we’re only just getting started.
